How do I enter my food selections?

On the left portion of this illustration, we have the list of potential food selections. On the right portion, we have the meal under consideration, in this case, Breakfast.

After you choose the category of the food you want (see category), just click on that food, and it will appear in your Online Journal, on the right. Here, we have chosen oatmeal. As you can see, it automatically appears on the right, with all the nutritional information for that item, as well as for the day thusfar.

If you prefer a quantity other than the default (in this case, 0.5 cup), just highlight the amount in the box (in this case, 0.5), type in your desired quantity (e.g. 1) and click Save. This will correct the total calories and grams of fat. It is only necessary to click Save, when you change the amount. This updates the amount and nutritional information for your new amount. The result will look something like this:

You then proceed with the remainder of the items you have for Breakfast. The program keeps track of everything: your weight, your total calories, your grams of fat, your % fat calories. In addition, it maintains all your records for you, both in tabular form and graphical form.
